Surplus Inventory Manager

Location: Cincinnati, OH

The Surplus Inventory Manager must be comfortable with recommending and understanding product pricing and knowledge by extracting and analyzing data across multiple systems and reports. This person will be responsible for the removal of outdated and old products from our warehouse facilities.

• Works closely with all levels of purchasing, sales and operations providing support to meet business needs
• Recommendations on closeout strategies for slow sellers or discontinued items
• Development of new strategies to address distressed inventory; monitoring and improving stock rates
• Report on Months on hand by Mill/Age
• Develop relationships with Closeout Customers
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• All other duties as requested

Job Requirements:
Required Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Desired Education: Bachelors Degree
Desired Technology: MS Office Suite specifically heavy excel knowledge, FDM4
Desired Experience Level: 2-3 years experience within apparel industry and industry pricing or as closeout specialist in other industries

Physical Demands:
Sitting dominates most of the responsibilities. However, a certain amount of walking and or standing may occasionally be necessary.
Responsibilities require keyboarding activity and/or manual manipulation of a computer mouse with either hand. This includes repetitive motion with wrists, hands and/or fingers. The position consists of approximately 80-90% computer work which involves extensive viewing of a computer monitor. It is also necessary to possess the ability to speak and hear (with reasonable accommodation) in order to exchange detailed information both face-to-face and via phone to customers, vendors, employees and others.
Responsibilities require the ability (with reasonable accommodation) to see and read handwritten and typed documents.
